Here is Enough

The project is inspired by the Japanese tome-ishi (stopping stone). Placed along a garden path, the stone does not physically prevent visitors from proceeding. Instead, it quietly suggests that “here is enough” and that there is no need to go any further. For me, the tome-ishi is not merely a symbol of boundary, but a shift in perception. Rather than directing where one should go, it invites one to pause and become aware of what is already present, subtly maintaining the order of the surrounding space. Within this moment of pause, a transitional state quietly emerges — suspended between staying and moving forward.
